Meet our Leadership Team

Julie Simmons is a results-driven IT executive and is passionate about leveraging technology to drive value. As Chief Information Officer at DDI, Julie leads the global technology strategy for its suite of leadership products as well as its internal data and systems infrastructure. She is responsible for DDI's global technology function, including Product and Data Engineering, Enterprise Business Systems, and Global Technology Services.

Prior to joining DDI, Julie had the opportunity to lead digital transformation strategy and execution for several organizations ranging from start-up organizations to large enterprise. Previously, she was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Swire Coca-Cola, one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers with revenues more than $3 billion.  During her tenure at Swire Coca-Cola, she lead many modernization initiatives including acceleration of the company’s IT maturity in cybersecurity and infrastructure, spearheaded their data architecture and enablement strategy and application portfolio optimization. 

Julie also co-founded a SaaS start-up, ForgeDX, that helped several large technology companies showcase interactive digital experiences to accelerate their customer acquisition strategies. She has also been an IT executive with Omnicom, a global Fortune 500 leader in marketing, media and communications.  She enjoys striving for excellence and collaborating with team members to create improved employee and customer experiences with technology.

She is dedicated to mentorship, professional growth, and building the next generation of technology leadership propelling the 21st century workforce. She serves on the Executive Board of the Women Tech Council, a networking and mentorship organization focused on growing the pipeline of women driving the STEM economy.  She is actively involved in the technology community helping young women find fulfilling STEM careers. She holds an MBA from the University of Utah.
